….and all the other sounds that fireworks make are all over the neighborhood tonight. Earlier, I took Nick aside and asked him “Do you wanna go and blow stuff up with me?” (Of course, I knew the answer- what red-blooded 13 year old boy wouldn’t want to?)
“Sweeeeeeeet!” was his (expected) response. We went over to the retention pond and set up, and after a couple of experiments got some fairly nice shots. We even shared some of the excess candles with the neighbors adjoining the pond.
Of course, when Nick’s mom saw the photos, I got “He was holding those?? In his hands?” accompanied by the Look Of Disapproval to Freeze One’s Soul. Sometimes you cant win.
