Dell got back to me today- sort of. I had responded to the first not-so-comprehensible email I received, trying to get a little clarification. This is what I got back.
Hello,
Just covering all the issues that you may have. Well the system exchange works by way of I am sending a system that works, when you get the system that I am sending just box up the one that you have now in the box that the exchange comes in and ship the one that does not work back to Dell. The DPS number for tracking is 0XXXXXXX6. I sat this up already as I felt like for what you had gone through via the service provider not coming out to you’re home to replace parts and have you’re computer running properly, I gave you a system exchange. I also sent you a printer as well, a 725 all in one printer for you’re trouble. Reply back and let me know when you’re system exchange comes to you and you are shipping back the computer that you have that does not work like you would like it to do so.
Thank You

I agree with the total lack of communication skills, but there is a subtle sense of disrespect inherent in the message. I quote, “I also sent you a printer as well, a 725 all in one printer for you’re trouble.”
you are trouble????
You bet your sweet patootie I am :)
