Moon, set and glow.

Moonglow
I captured this this morning as the Moon set in the West, just immediately prior to sunrise. I was taking out the trash, and happened to look and see this unearthly glow around the moon. I know it’s ice crystals in the atmosphere, and the color shift is because of the angle I’m seeing it at, but it was an arresting sight.

Addendum: According to the folks at Ask Metafilter, this is called a “Light Pillar”.
