It’s always amazing to see the things you don’t see…. like this spider web. I was wandering the yard, taking pictures of random stuff, when the light reflecting off this web caught my eye. It was so tiny, you couldn’t see it unless the light was just right. I waited a bit until the sun dropped a little lower in the sky, and the web picked up a nice backlighting.
It was a tough shot- the web was dancing in the wind, and the strands that lighted up and the focus changed from second to second…This is probably about the 30th in a series of 100 exposures.
The whole structure of the web isn’t but about 6 inches across… and the little spider responsible is about the size of a pencil point. That’s him, there in the middle. One of nature’s little wonders.
Beautiful shot!
